I have used them, and I absolutely loved having colored contacts. My eyes are naturally hazel, but I enjoyed having either blue, or gray eyes. They looked great on me too! :]

use small short strokes. if it helps, sonia kashuk makes this eyeliner brush thats bent...to give you more control of the brush . start out thin and then thicken as you go along.

I've tried green, grey, even violet colored eyes. Nice for a night out, but not for everyday wear. Alas, they are very expensive, and they don't correct my astigmatism.

I pay about 30 to 35 dollars a pair. Spending $200+ on any item that isn't white, full-length, and comes with a pretty veil seems ridiculous to me. Especially since I'm gonna sit on them anyway, :P

I personally think that a top coat is very very important to the longevity of your manicures. The quality of the top coat is also very very important. I think that top coats and clear polish are somewhat different because many topcoats have different formulas (hence the difference in mani-life) If you are looking for a good top coat, I highly recomment Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat or Nailene's Acrylic Strong Top Coat. :D

I've personally noticed that it does help keep the nails from chipping as bad and improves the way the polish looks. I dunno if just clear polish would work, since topcoat doesn't generally cost more so I just buy that. Also booking the polish over the very end of the nails helps me a lot in preventing chipping.

I used to wash my everyday(sometimes 2x a day) until recently, due to a medication I'm taking. It dries out my skin, and I've noticed an ovbious difference: I go at least 2 days without showering, sometimes 3....looove it!

Did you actually know that it's perfectly healthy to go up to 7 days without getting a shower? Not saying that I'd do it! But our body is meant to secrete oils and so on; its not supposed to get washed every day. Just thought it was interesting.

@ classycourtney: my hairdresser is able to do that...I absolutely LOVE that. I'm all about keeping it simple. Being able to curl with my flat iron would be HEAVEN, but I need to find a good flat iron before I'm able to master it. LOL

I absoutely love doing my nails, but after awhile I just found it frustrating because the poilsh tends to chip or just come off. So my question to you guys is:

How important is top coat? Does it really do anything? And, can I just use any clear coloured nail polish for a topcoat?

Thanks!

I wash my hair everyday. I don't think it's good for my hair, but I have thick wavy/curly hair that tends to get very greasy, so if I don't wash it then it's just gross. But my hairdresser still tells me that my hair is super healthy and in tip-top condition.

shape does matter. I suspect you get ingrown nails because they are rounded, so your skin will shape to around your nail, but if you forget to continually round off your nails, the wider base will grow out and cut into your skin. Either be more consistent with round your nails or slowly square them off and pull back your skin around your nail for a couple minutes a day.

I hope that made sense. I used to get ingrown nails on my big toe until i squared them off and let them grow past the length they usually started to cut into my skin and haven't had a problem since.

since it will be summer soon, and it's already getting warm (yippee!) you're almost past the time where tights would be okay. however, you've always got pantyhose, which you can get in a color close to your skin tone (or, if you're like me a little darker so you aren't glow in the dark white!) so your legs will be moderately concealed, but it's a step towards bare legs. also, getting cute shoes (heels make all legs look better) the attention will be on your cute dress and your cute shoes, not on your legs inbetween :) since you've got some time before summer, doing excersizes to tone your legs up might work, and make you more comfortable with them.

i used to be self-conscious about my legs too, but one day i just decided that i wanted to wear a cute dress badly enough that i would put up with whatever ridicule i got for my legs. and surprise! the only commetns i got were about my adorable dress, nothing at all about my legs. so as long as you have confidence in yourself, you'll look great :)
