If your scars aren't too bad then I'd recommend Ambi's Even and Clear Targeted Mark Minimizer, it's pretty affordable (I think about $11 at WalMart) and a little really goes a long way. The only con about it is that you have to continually use it, but being that it's affordable I don't really have a problem with that.
If your scars are a little worse then Mederma is really good. It's a little more expensive (around $40) but it worked wonders on my chicken pox scars and you don't have to continually use it after your scars are gone!Good luck:)

thanks ~ I have no idea what the condition of my scars are, except that I know it is VERY visible on my forehead. I think I would like to try Mederma though, do you know what kind of store will carry it??

try Nuetrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel (sometimes around $40).
It did a good number on my acen scars
There are plenty reviews here

In the bigger drugstores and pharmacies they will have a selection of creams that are meant to reduce acne scars, you could try out a few of those. In the UK they have Palmers cocoa butter formula which I have heard a lot of people use for scars, so if they have that where you are from I would say thats worth a try.
If that doesn't work I am sure that the doctors will have some kind of ointment which will work. good luck

Be careful with OTC creams. Unless you know your skin very well, I'd recommend seeing a dermatologist first so that you don't make it worse. And because it's can be easier. I have scars too and some products are definitely better than others! I'm using a product by Murad called "Post Acne Spot Lightening Gel" and I've been using it for about 2 weeks and can tell a huge difference! It's improving all my skin tone and I honestly think that after another 2 weeks if my skin doesn't break out again that I'll have a completely perfect skin tone. At $60 it's pricey but I honestly can't think of a better product (and believe me, I've tried!) that hasn't irritated my skin.

thank you - my skin can be sensitive, I know that for a fact. I'm not sure how it'll react though, but if I can I would want to try Murad. I want to be able to walk around with blemish free skin instead of covering it up every day! Do you know where I can find such a gel?

I believe you can find it at Sephora.

or you can get it cheaper on Amazon.

Personally I used Vitamin E and C serums for my scars when I was a teen. I didn't feel comfortable using creams and such becuase I was afraid of making the little bit of acne that I had left, worse.
The serums helped heal old scars and kind of some of my worry lines disappear as well but that was just a bonus, I really didn't expect that,
