Any boxed hairbye should do, depending on the length of your hair you may need tow boxes
I suggest if this is the first time have someone help you apply it just to make sure it is evenly distributed.
I'd try clairol perfect 10,
its a bit quicker and since you want a dark brown you can manage a slow but beautiful transformation into a lighter shade.
to take it to an even further level
ask a color professional, they will know what to direct you to regarding the length texture and hue of your hair now.

Im sure you've heard this before, but if you're going to color black hair, you almost HAVE to do it professionally. Home box colors aren't made to change hair color more than a few shades, and to achieve a color lighten than black that doesn't look orange, brassy, or non-existant, you should get it done professionally. It's really not that expensive to color your hair professionally, and it will last MUCH longer and look MUCH nicer.
If you're bent on doing it at home, a mistake many people make is buying too warm of a color. Go with a neutral shade of color, or try mixing two boxes if you wan't a more golden shade.
If you're hair in not naturally black, try getting a color stripper first or washing with dawn regular dish soap for a couple weeks.
Always buy semi permanent hair dye so it can fade out of your hair. That way you won't have distinct lines when it grows out, and it will be easier to match your roots if you dye it a second time. That might not be an option for you though since you're going from black.
I would try clairol natural instincts brass free or garnier nutrisse multi lights, but i urge the salon instead.

The feria' brand, live colour XXL lumiance. LUMINANCE. Smart colour range, l'oreal products, especially the ultra lightening ones, they worked on my naturally black and curly semi-afroy hair.
Always always do a strand and skin test before hand and read the instructions carefully
