I buy whatever I like and looks good on me - if it isn't what everyone else is wearing I'm still ok with that.
I like to dress by colour, so whenever I walk into a store and the colour scheme is not what I was looking for I walk right back out.

I tend to stick to my tee-shirts & jeans. But I upgraded from my graphic tees to v-necks quite awhile ago. It seemed like a big upgrade to myself! I'm not so fashionably aware though, so I guess I can't really follow fashion trends because I don't really know them! :X

I am aware of fashion and current trends but I don't follow them because most trends tend to be flashy (for guys) and I don't dress that way.
I tend to dress in dress shirts and custom tailored slacks because that's my style. For work I wear finely tailored suits because I'm a professional. There is one thing I avoid now and that is going to "designer" stores for my clothes because most "designer" brands have become generic in my eyes. The point of designer is that not everyone has it, that's why I steer clear of Armani and if I need to make a trip to the UK for Eton dress shirts, so be it. So I guess you could say that I set my own trends.

I follow trends to an extent. I am more aware of them than practice, because I just don't have the money to supplement my wardrobe like that. I would say that I throw a bit of trendy in the mix, but for the most part I usually dress casual.

I'm definitely conscious of other trends, and I am not against wearing them, but I won't buy it unless I know it looks good on me. Even if it's the hottest fad, If i'm not comfortable wearing it it won't look trendy, it'll look uncomfortable and dumb. I like to take trends and make them my own. :)

For myself! What a silly question. If it doesn't look good on me I won't buy it, I don't care how many other girls are wearing it and how "cool" it is. I think true style comes from confidence of finding clothes that look good on you and suit your personality. Not by what's in according to seventeen magazine.

I do both; I wear what I like, but I also take a lot of cues from trends.
I like skinny jeans and boots, for example, which are a bit trendy. But I also wear a lot of cardigans and oversize shirts and scarves.
I think the way I can tell that I am true to my personal style is that I can go to pretty much every store and find something that I can incorporate into my style.

I dress for myself. I dress in a "preppy" way, really. Classic without being trendy. I've never worn anything that was completely out of fashion, though.

I honestly follow the trend of a korean celebrity named Lee Hyori. I love the way she dress because it's comfortable yet stylish. :)
