    How can I prevent my makeup from getting oily by the end of the day?

    I wash my face frequently to try to prevent oil building but it doesn't seem to help.

    buy m.a.c pressed blotting powder.

    it works amazing. it removes oil from the makeup and face. and its transparent so there's not a color build up. it really really works to make the face matte.

    I would recommend using a pressed blotting or a loose translucent finishing powder over your foundation, I Use MAC's pressed blot powder but a wide variety of companies carry them. Also bring the compact with you thought the day for touch ups.

    Another thing you can use if you don't like to wear so much makeup is oil absorbing blotting sheets, I use MAC's Blot Film as the powder a wide variety of companies make these.

    Try using a primer like the oil-free Photofinish from Smashbox. It will help keep your foundation stay in place!

    I was in the same situation as you before. I used to use finishing powder over my foundation, but it didn't do much for me. I still ended up having an oily face by the end of the day. I finally decided to invest in some primer, and I bought MakeUpForever HD primer in blue. I wear it everytime I go out, and my face is still not oily by the end of the day. I love it, I definitely recommend it.

    If you have oily skin, you shouldn't wash it more than twice a day at the absolute max. If you're washing it more, your skin is actually producing more oil because it's dried out and is trying to compensate for that. So, start by not washing as much :) Then, there's primers to try (MakeUpforever All Mat is great!) or maybe your skin just needs to be touched up through the day and a blot powder (you can use it a hundred times and won't build up or anything like that) like one from MAC is a great way to see to that.
