I personally am not a fan of perfume in the workplace - mostly b/c a good number of people have perfume allergies, and it only takes one such person to create conflict!

I was amazed to read that there have even been lawsuits in the workplace over perfume! This one woman sued the city of Detroit and got a $100k settlement?!

If you're in a creative profession like fashion though, then maybe it'd be ok though?

I wouldn't suggest wearing perfume unless it was super subtle, as in I can only smell it if I lean if for a close hug. Other than that, it shouldn't matter what kind of perfume you use.
If I remember correctly, the order of the perfume should be 'eau de parfum > toilette > cologne' where parfum is the strongest and lasts longer.
