I don't have a monthly budget for clothes... because I may not buy clothes every month. However, there are some months where the sales are crazy so you might just spend a lot and some months there may be nothing in stores you like therefore you buy nothing. In the end, I guess it works itself out (=

I would say spend no more than 4% of your monthly income on miscellaneous items if you actually have to live on a budget.  If you make $1000 in a month, don't spend more than $40 a month on clothes/accessories/random things you want.  Or, if you'd rather make that money useful, put it into a 401k instead.

If you don't have to live on a budget, spend any amount you want that you can afford to pay for in cash while still being able to cover all of your other expenses.  There's no sense in going into debt from purchasing something that's not essential to keeping you alive.  Buy within your means.

My parents give me a bugget of $750 for one year. But please note, this includes clothing, going out to dinner, going to the movies, and shoes! (even if shoes are clothing, but they are usually more expensive- just pointing that out.) You may think this is a lot but if you divide that by 12 it is $62.50 a month, with extras!
